The Municipal Engineer's Office, headed by Engr. Jose M. Pancrudo, had accomplished and facilitated various projects for upgrading and improvement of infrastructures and other facilities in the municipality. For the first quarter of 2012, the office had embarked on the construction of new building, improvement of offices, and repair and maintenance of public school buildings, day care centers, health stations and farm-to-market roads.

We had constructed an office for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) for the MSWD, a toolroom at Cabatuan Fire Station Building, and an extension building at PNP Headquarters annexed to the municipal hall. Recently, we had finished the construction of LDRRMC Operation Center located at the back of BFP building which will served as headquarters for Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (LDRRMC) and the Cabatuan Responders (CARES). The new building has its own storage room for safekeeping of rescue materials, tools, and other equipment needed in times disasters and calamities.

The damaged concrete canopy at the right side of the Cabatuan Hall of Justice building was replaced and repaired while the canopy at Cabatuan Central Elementary School was constructed. In coordination with the Local School Board, the school buildings of Puga Elementary School, APIA Elementary School and Corazon Galindo Primary School were repaired and improved.

Other construction projects that we undertook are the concreting of footwalk at municipal cemetery, repair and maintenance of public market, and the construction of steel railings going to Balic Cross at Brgy. Leong. We have started construction of boundary billboard at the access road going to New Iloilo Airport, concreting of municipal equipment garage area at Fire Station Building, construction of conference tables for municipal building, and construction of overflow at Maraguit creek.

With the support of Priority Development Assistant Fund (PDAF) of Cong. Arthur R. Defensor Jr., construction and repair of multi-purpose buildings, water systems and barangay roads of fifteen barangays in the municipality are realized.

These various projects have improved the working conditions and enhanced our efficiency as government employees, made it more comfortable for the Cabatuananons to avail of LGU services, and spurred economic activity in the municipality.
