I.    Functional Statement

As the legislative body of the municipality, shall enact ordinances, approve resolutions and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the municipality and its inhabitants. Protect the people and the environment, impose penalties for persons violating laws for environmental protection and peace and order, & enact legislative measures to finance local development projects.

II.    Objectives

To enact ordinances and other measures beneficial to the people of the community.

III.    Programs/Projects/Activities

1. Enactment of legislative measures necessary to ensure efficient and effective municipal governance

2. Enact measures responsive to the welfare of the municipality generation and maximization of the use of the resources and revenues for the development of lans, programs, objectives and priorities of the municipality with particular attention to Agro-Industrial development and countryside growth & progress

3. Granting of franchises, enacting of ordinances, authorizing the issuance of permits or licenses, or enactment of ordinances, levying taxes, fees and charges for such purposes intended to promote the general welfare of the inhabitants of the municipality

4. Regulation of activities relative to the use of building and structures within the municipality to promote the general welfare of the inhabitants
