The Municipal Government has extended the deadline of renewal of business permits to market vendors from January 20 to February 14, 2011 through Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2011-058 - extending the deadline for the renewal of business permits in the Municipality of Cabatuan, Iloilo to February 15, 2011.

The local officials believed that the failure of the businessmen to beat the deadline for the renewal of business permits which was January 20, 2011, can be attributed to the financial hardships being experienced by the consuming public resulting in unsatisfactory business transactions. So, to give due consideration to the predicament of small businessmen in town and to generate more revenues for the municipality, the Sangguniang Bayan deemed it necessary to extend the deadline for the renewal of business permits from January 20, 2011 to February 15, 2011.

With the same predicament, the municipal government also gave relief to market vendors by extending the period of payment of advance rental fee of stalls in Cabatuan Public Market for another two (2) months, starting on June 5, 2011 but not later than September 5, 2011. This was approved through Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 2011-058.

Honorable Salvador Amoroso, Chairman-Committee on Market, explained that the deadline for the payment of 3 months advance rentals should have been on or before April 15. However, considering the financial hardships people are experiencing nowadays, he sponsored the two (2) resolutions to give relief to businessmen in the municipality.
